Celebrate the International Day for Monuments and Sites 2026 with us at the Aapravasi Ghat

As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Aapravasi Ghat tells an important story of indentured labour, migration, and the people who helped shape Mauritius and the modern world.
On Saturday 18 April and Sunday 19 April 2026, the Aapravasi Ghat and the Old Labourers’ Quarters at Trianon will be open to the public.
Enjoy guided visits, access to the Trianon site, heritage walks in Buffer Zone 1, and activities for children.
Come and explore your heritage with family and friends
